Run Your favourite Android Apps In Your PC

Bluestacks is a Silicon Valley-based software company that produces BlueStacks App Player and BlueStacks Cloud Connect. Both products revolve around enabling Android applications to run on Windows PCs, Macintosh computers and Windows tablets. The company was founded in 2009 by Rosen Sharma, former CTO at McAfee and board member of Cloud.com.

Bluestacks is an Android emulator that can be installed on Windows machines. It allows PC owners to use Android apps on their computers like they can on Android devices, without having to install Android x86.

BlueStacks App Player lets you run apps from your phone fast and fullscreen on Windows and Mac.Over 5 million people around the world use top apps like Angry Birds Space, Kik Messenger, Where's My Water and more on their laptops with BlueStacks. It took 10 engineers two years to build the complex "LayerCake" technology that enables this to happen – but you get to experience it free while in beta. You can download App Player now at BlueStacks.com

8 Useful Tools For Customizing Windows 8

The following are the some of the usefull windows 8 Modern apps that helps you to make your windows 8 look better,

OblyTile

OblyTile allows you to create your own custom tiles for desktop applications, websites, folders, and anything else you like. You can download pre-created tile images, so you don’t have to make your own. Your custom desktop shortcuts can look much nicer than the dull desktop shortcut tiles Windows 8 uses by default.

ModernMix

Windows 8’s new Modern environment doesn’t allow you to run Modern applications in windows on your desktop. Microsoft doesn’t seem to think this is a problem, but Stardock has fixed this with their ModernMix application. ModernMix allows you to run Modern apps in a window on your desktops, even having multiple Modern apps on your desktop at the same time. Like other Stardock applications, it’s free for 30 days and will cost you a one-time fee of $5 afterwards. ModernMix is currently the only application that offers this feature.

Decor8

By default, you can’t choose your own Start screen background image. (Windows 8 does allow you to change your lock screen image for some reason, however.) Stardock’s Decor8allows you to set a custom background image and color scheme for your Start screen. It’s free for 30 days and will cost you $5 afterwards.

If you’re looking for something that’s permanently free, you can try Windows 8 Start Screen Customizer, although it hasn’t worked properly for us in the past. Decor8 seems much more polished and less buggy.

Start Menus, Boot to Desktop, and Hot Corners

Windows 8 replaces the Start menu with the new full-screen Start screen. If you’d rather have a traditional Start menu, there are quite a few third-party Start menus available for Windows 8. Manufacturers like Samsung and Lenovo are even creating their own Start menus and shipping them with their new Windows 8 PCs.

We’ve covered several start menus for Windows 8 in more detail, including Stardock’s polished (but paid) Start8 and the free Classic Shell. IObit also offers a free, polished Start menu for Windows 8.

These Start menus also allow you to boot straight to the desktop and disable the hot corners that activate Windows 8’s charms and app switcher when you move your mouse to the corners of the screen. You can still access these features with the appropriate Windows 8 hotkeys, even if you opt to disable the hot corners.

Aero8Tuner

Windows 8 automatically selects window border colors by default, but you can also select a color from a short list of provided colors. With Aero8Tuner, you can select any custom border color and color balance you like. You can also enable an Aero Glass-like transparency effect with this tool, although the transparency is very buggy and you probably won’t want to use it for long.

Win+X Menu Editor

Windows 8 has a special “power-user menu” that appears when you press Windows Key + X or right-click at the bottom-left corner of your screen. It’s full of links to things like the Control Panel and Device Manager.

If you want to add your own custom program shortcuts to this list or modify the existing ones, you can do easily customize the menu with Win+X Menu Editor.

Alt Tab Tuner VIII

The Alt+Tab dialog is extremely customizable. In addition to adjusting the thumbnail, icon, and margin sizes, you can also opt to use a class-style Alt+Tab dialog. However, these settings are buried in the Windows registry. Alt Tab Tuner VIII allows you to adjust these settings without using the registry.

Start Screen Animations Tweaker

You can tweak the Start screen’s animations, but these settings are also buried in the registry.Start Screen Animations Tweaker allows you to tweak these animations without looking up registry settings.

Disable or Bypass Windows 8 Password prompt/window

Windows 8 has some effective tools which lets you interact with your PC architechture easily. There are many different enhancement and changes which can be confusing for the new users.

One of the new changes which is confusing for the users is the hidden option to disable or bypass the password prompt window. But, luckily there is a way to bypass the password screen. Here's How:

1. Boot your PC and enter your password.

2. Press Winkey + X (by which I mean hold down the Windows key and then tap X).

3. In the pop-up menu that appears, click Command Prompt (Admin).

4. In the Command Prompt, type control userpasswords2, then press Enter. (If this sounds familiar, it's because the same command works in earlier version of Windows.)

5. In the User Accounts dialog that appears, uncheck the box marked Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

6. Click OK, then confirm the automatic sign-in option by entering your password (twice).

7. Reboot your Windows 8 OS.

After reboot you will find that your Windows 8 finally understands that you don't want to enter the password every time you boot your machine.

Important Windows 8 keyboard shortcuts

Windows 8 Represents a new metro style UI with a modern look. It offers a new set of features and accessibility for the users to interact with their computer easier than ever.

You can make things even easier if you know the keyboard shortcuts while using your machine (OfCourse! it doesn't apply for the touch screen devices like "Microsoft Surface").

Here are some most useful keyboard shortcuts for Windows 8

Commonly Used Run Commands

Run commands can be used to boost your working speed. Typing just few words will do your work. Like if you wanna open calculator than you have to go to start->programs->accessories->calc. But if you go by run command then you have to open run->type calc and press enter. This way is more easier then the previous one. Well i am not saying that it is always convenient, but at some places it really do well. I have provided a complete list of run commands for windows below. Check out.

For those who have not ever used run commands, you can open up the run dialogue box by pressing WIN+R key, or you can go in start and search for run.

Methods To Do After Virus Infection

Whether you saw a message saying a virus was detected or your computer seems slow and unreliable, this guide will walk you through the process of dealing with your infection and removing the malware. While many viruses and other types of malware are designed simply to cause chaos, more and more malware is used by organized crime to steal credit card numbers and other sensitive data.

Did Your Antivirus Say a Virus Was Detected?

If you saw a message pop up that says a virus was detected, that’s a good thing. Your antivirus noticed a virus and likely removed it without prompting you.

This sort of message doesn’t mean that you ever had a virus running on your computer. You could have downloaded a file that contained a virus and your antivirus removed the file before it could ever cause a problem. Or, a malicious file on an infected web page could have been noticed and dealt with before it caused any problems.

In other words, a “virus detected” message that occurs during normal use of your computer doesn’t mean your computer was ever infected or that the virus ever did anything. if you see a message like this, you’re likely visiting an infected web page or downloading a harmful file. Try to avoid doing that in the future, but don’t worry too much.

You can also go into your antivirus program and check its quarantine or its virus detection logs to view more information about the virus and what action was taken.

If You’re Not Running an Antivirus

If you’re not running an antivirus and your computer has become slow and unreliable, it’s possible that you have a virus. This can also occur if you’re running an antivirus with out-of-date virus definitions.
If you don’t have an antivirus installed, you should try to install one immediately. There are a variety of free antivirus products you can download, including Microsoft Security Essentials. The antivirus should ideally be able to clean up the viruses and fix your problems after you install it. If the antivirus can’t fix the infections on your system, read the section below on dealing with more troublesome infections.

If You Think Your Antivirus Isn’t Catching A Virus

If you already have an antivirus program installed but you think you may have viruses it isn’t detecting, you can get a second opinion from another antivirus product.

A variety of antivirus providers make one-time scanning tools available – for example, the ESET Online Scanner. These programs will download to your computer and do a quick scan without a long installation process. You can’t have multiple antivirus products installed at the same time, so this allows you to scan with another antivirus without going through the hassle of uninstalling your current antivirus.
If the scanner alerts you to a problem, you’ll want to remove the viruses with the scanning tool. If you had a virus, your current antivirus may not be up to the job. You may want to uninstall it and install another antivirus product after the process is complete.

Dealing With More Problematic Infections

Some viruses and other types of malware dig their hooks deep into your system, making them difficult to remove – especially by antivirus products you install later, after the virus has infected your system and had time to run wild, possibly downloading additional types of malware.

Booting into Safe Mode can help. In Safe Mode, Windows won’t load third-party software (including the virus), so you’ll be able to run your antivirus program without the virus interfering in the background. To boot into Safe Mode, restart your computer, press the F8 key while the computer is booting up, select the Safe Mode option in the boot options menu, and press the Enter key. Run the antivirus program in Safe Mode and restart after you’re done cleaning up. (If you don’t see the boot options menu, restart your computer and try again – you may not have pressed the F8 key at the correct time.) If you need Internet access in Safe Mode, select Safe Mode with Networking in the boot options menu instead.

If running the antivirus in Safe Mode doesn’t work, you can try booting from an antivirus rescue CD. When you boot into the rescue CD, the antivirus gets a clean environment to work in. It can scan your hard drive while the virus lies dormant, making it easier to clean infections that make themselves hard to remove. We’ve covered using the BitDefender,Avira, and Kaspersky rescue discs to remove viruses from computers.

The “nuclear option” if nothing can remove the viruses properly – or if the malware so damaged your system that Windows still isn’t working properly after you’ve removed the viruses – is reverting your computer to its factory state. Many computers come with restore partitions that you can access by pressing a certain key during the boot process (consult your computer’s manual for the exact key). You may also have a Windows installer disc you can use to reinstall Windows. Note that this will delete the files and programs on your computer, so be sure your important data is backed up before you reinstall Windows from scratch.

If the above suggested method doesn't solve the problem then use the rescue disk provided from respective antivirus platform. If you have any queries just comment below

Send Encrypted Emails Through Gmail Using a Chrome Extension:

Need to send sensitive information through email? Normal email messages can be intercepted or hacked before reaching the recipient. However, you can use a free extension for Google Chrome, called SafeGmail, that allows you to send encrypted emails to anyone.
Messages are encrypted and decrypted within the browser, so your message is only seen by you and the person to whom it is sent, and the messages remain encrypted in both the sender’s and receiver’s email inboxes  The messages also automatically expire after a random amount of time.
SafeGmail works with any recipient email provider.

To install the extension, visit the SafeGmail extension page using the link at the end of this article. Click the Add to Chrome button.

The Confirm New Extension dialog box displays. Click Add.

A message box displays when the extension has been successfully installed. Restart Google Chrome and reopen your Gmail page after installing the extension.

SafeGmail adds an Encrypt? check box to the Compose screen. Once you have written your email and entered one or more recipients and a subject, click the Encrypt? check box. Two edit boxes display for a Question and an Answer. Enter a question and an answer that only you and the recipient(s) will know. Then, click Send + Encrypt.
NOTE: The answer is case sensitive.

The encrypted email looks like the following image for the recipient(s). The encrypted email is included as text between dashed lines. Copy this text before clicking the Here link to access the email.

Answer the question and click Submit to access the a screen allowing you to decrypt the email.

The Mail Decryption screen displays. Paste the email content copied from the received email in the edit box and click Show My Mail.

The decrypted message displays in the browser window.

SafeGmail also allows you to enter special language characters in your email message to be encrypted.

Download SafeGmail from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/safegmail/lmjkmpdndmbieflefonjgnnfimmkbedf.

How to Use the Avira Rescue CD to Clean Your Infected PC

When you’ve got a PC completely infected with viruses, sometimes it’s best to reboot into a rescue disc and run a full virus scan from there. Here’s how to use the Avira Rescue CD to clean an infected PC.

Download and Burn the Image to a Disc

The first thing you’ll need to do is head over to the Avira site and download the latest version of their rescue CD— there are .exe and .ISO versions of the rescue CD available.
If you download the .exe version of the Rescue CD, you can actually use it to directly burn the image to a disk without any other software required. Just download, open it up, and then stick a disc into the drive.
